The Moramus Chorale would love to have you!!

The Moramus Chorale is a volunteer organization to anyone who is interested in singing with us.  Our performances are generally concentrated on the music of Early America and Moravian Music, but we do incorporate other styles into our programs.  Our regular rehearsals are once per month, on the fourth Tuesday from 7-9 PM, and we do add special rehearsals when needed (maybe four per year).

The Moramus Chorale will be accepting new members at its rehearsals on January 7!

Though our membership is non-auditioned and open to any skill level, interested individuals should know that there are some time and financial commitments that our members are asked to make.  Those requirements are:

1. -Attendance of at least 75% of rehearsals and all dress rehearsals prior to a scheduled concert.  We are aware that things happen and exceptions are made on a case by case basis.
   

1. -For women, the purchase of a custom-made uniform dress.  You will be given information on payment and measuring.  The cost of the dress is $115 and a payment plan is available.  This is a one-time expense that will serve you for years to come!
   

1. -For men, the purchase of a tuxedo.  Bruce’s Tuxedo of Lexington, NC, is our recommended tuxedo distributor.  The cost of a complete tux that meets our requirements is $125. 
   

-Yearly dues, currently $20, are collected after the first calendar year of membership.

1. -You will need to purchase a black folder or notebook to have your music in during our performances.  A black notebook will work, but if you are interested in a choral music folder we recommend The Black Folder, www.musicfolder.com.
